Trailer Report: “Public Enemies”

Posted by guddy On March - 4 - 2009

public_enemies Well, it’s been official for years now: Michael Mann kicks ass! For anyone who knows a little more about movies, this Trailer Report would be completely unnecessary. If you get Michael Mann, Cristian Bale and Johnny Depp in the same credits, there’s a very small chance of you having a bad movie, and this teaser is proof of that. Pace is perfect and it looks like we may have a new favorite anti-hero in our hands. Oh yeah: Billy Crudup looks amazing as J. Edgar Hoover and Marion Cotillard looks, well, hot.

Not that you need anything from the story, but: Depp is a big bank robber, and Bale is the guy chasing him. Ta-ta!

Trailer Report: “Terminator: Salvation”

Posted by guddy On March - 3 - 2009

Yes, I was among the biggest skeptics when it came to this new Terminator franchise. McG directed “Charlie’s Angels” for Christ’s sake, so how in the world is he fit to direct a Terminator movie?terminator_salvation

Well, if this trailer is any sign of it, it seems I was wrong. With the right amount of dramatic weight that made “Terminator 2” so good, this could be one of the better movies this year.

My only grudge with it is that it might have revealed too much information, but this could be a good thing: if they have the cojones to reveal these pieces of info, they might still have something up their sleeve :-)

Oh, and one question: if John Connor knew about the Terminators since youth, why does everybody seem so surprised when they start showing up?

Special Trailer Report for the year 2009

Posted by guddy On February - 23 - 2009

At the very end of the Oscars Ceremony last night, the Academy provided us with a small glimpse of some of the great movies that we’ll have the pleasure to watch in the year 2009. I’ve actually added this clip to our blog, without naming any movies because even I got some surprises along the way. Hope you enjoy it:
